Hi Yang, With the app we have been working on, I want to ensure that the data sent to the server is necrypted, that storage on the server is also encrypted. My research has shown me that Blowfish is the best for transporting the data and storing it on the server. I also want variable encryption strengths so that a trial user can have no encryption, a power user can have 448 bit encryption, etc - and users in between can have 64 bit, 128 bit, etc. I would also like SSH for the transport of the data as I do not want to use SSL. The APP: Basically, I want to ensure that the datastream is encrypted with blowfish (variabe amount detrmined by the user's security level - none, 64 bit, 128 bit, 448 bit, etc) and arrives at the server in encrypted format. The server will then decrypt the data, to perform operations and then re-encrypt the data so it is stored in a safe format. I'd like to encrypt that data with key based on the user's serial number (I'll give you this) and the current time - so the key continually changes and is secure. The data is then stored in encrpyted format in the mySQL database. There will also be some minor querying with databases - but your existing code should have all this covered. It should be relatively straightforward. I'll integrate the code you sent me today. I'll get this to you ASAP.
