I need a VB6 function to link tables in a SQL Server DB into an Access 2003 DB. The trick is the tables in SQL Server could be in a different Schema ie dbo_ or xyz_. The table names are the same except for the Schema.
I need the code to accept a comma delimited string of table names(without the Schema prefix) is "main,green,...) and fiind the appropriate table in the SQL server DB regardless of Schema and set up a linked table in an Access 2003 DB using the raw table name as the linked tablename (dbo_main in SQL server would be linked as main).
As parameters I will pass the string containing the raw table name and the SQL server connection string and the full path to the Access 2003 DB. Any other parameters if needed.
If there is an issue of refreshing the linked tables in the Access 2003 DB, the code should also include that before returning the function.
