I require a small component written in VB.net using [url removed, login to view],that I can reference from a form. I want to show 3d text in space. General ======== *Support Alpha blending *-NO- Anti-Aliasing, Lights,Fog, special FX etc... *-NO- lights/lighting. 3d Text functionality ===================== *Text -eg. = "The cat sat on the mat." *Color (R,G,B,A) *Position *Font - eg. = "Verdana" *TextSize *No depth(extrusion = 0.0001) *Adjustable Deviation/Quality *No support for underline, strikethrough, italic or bold Form to demonstrate usage: ========================== *To get a Idea of what I am thinking of, see 'Testing [url removed, login to view]'. *The position values represent the Top-Left-Front corner of the bounding box that contains each sentence of text. *Show some axis lines so I can see the spacial relationship easily. *The user of the test form should be able to : -Set a position -Type a sentence into the text box -Select a size for the text -Choose a font -Choose a color and an Alpha value for the text -Click on an 'Add' button to place the 3d text in space. *This form can be ugly. Don't get fussy with it. It is only to test the functions. The image 'Testing [url removed, login to view]' is just a suggestion - a rough sketch. *Set up some keys (arrow keys maybe) to allow the user to move the camera around. *The user of the test form may, by adding one sentence at a time end up with multiple sentences of 3d text in space. They may overlap each other. Other notes: ============= *Concentrate on the component. I am looking for elegant construction. *The exposed interface should be as simple as possible. *There will be no rotation, tilting or escapement of text. It will always be level, straight up and facing forward. *[url removed, login to view] available from [url removed, login to view]
