I need a php & mySQL expert to give advice for a new project. Below are a list of questions to which I need answers, which will affect the specifications for the main project Bid Request.
The 3 replies which we consider to be the most useful will each receive the maximum bid amount of $5 and will receive invitations to bid on the main project once the specifications are completed.
We have recently been affected by some electricity power outages, that have made me reconsider the way that we run our critical business operations.
I want to convert many of the functions that I currently do on my office PC every day, to web server
based php operations. That way, I can run all the critical processes on our web server with php, either from my office PC, my Laptop, my iPaq Pocket PC, or even from an internet cafe anywhere in the world. The critical processes that I mentioned are esentially data processing from a series of files, database operations, etc. The existing process is in a Visual Basic (VB5) application which is run on the office PC.
I have 2 web sites ( 2 different locations in the world ) both of which run Linux Apache with mySQL databases.
As a backup, I also want to be able to run the data processing functions from my own PC ( Laptop with Win XP Pro sp2 ).
Please see the attached fie for the list of initial questions.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
