We have an Excel VBA application that needs to make use of the PictureBox control on its userforms. This control is typically only available in VB, not VBA.
We want a custom control that duplicates the PictureBox functionality and that can be placed on VBA userforms.
We currently have a VB6 custom control that does this, but despite our best attempts it always generates an "Unsafe for Initialization" (UFI) warning message in Excel XP and Excel 2007. It implements the IObjectSafety interface as described in <[url removed, login to view]>, but we still have the warning message when it is deployed to target computers.
In simple terms, we want this warning message to go away. We would be satisfied with either 1) a confirmed reliable process that eliminates this warning with our current control, or 2) source code to a new custom control that does give this warning message.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
This control and Excel addin will be deployed on computers running Windows 2000 through Windows Vista and Office 2000 through Office 2007.
We have a MS Authenticode digital certificate and deploy our software with installers created with InstallShield.
