What I need here is a function that will return the state or providence based on the postal code. If the postal code has a dash and four digits, it can ignore the other four digits. It should return the complete spelling of the state like "arizona" instead of simply AZ. For example, if the postal code fed into it is 85006, then it would return AZ. For the US ones, it should just look at the first 2 digits. For the Canadian, I think that it needs to look at the complete postal code. The purpose of this is there is a procedure that requires the state. However, the information is not given. Yet, the postal code is given. Getting the information from a website would be acceptable.
The source code only for the postal code function. Then just one procedure that calls the procedure with the message box with the state returned. Must be programmed in Visual Basic.
Windows 2000 Server Edition.
