Brief background: We are a small 2-person business based in Caerphilly, South Wales, UK. We have taken over the business along with many old, legacy systems - many of which I just don't have a clue about. We use a VB pricelist which allows us to find the products we sell and also provide email quotes & orders. Originally written by a local lad and upgraded to v4, v5 and more lately VB6 it uses a number of 3rd-party DLLs and is just not very robust. It falls over constantly and has lately developed an error 13 - type mismatch which mena we cant put any products into the "cart" which is then used to build the quotes & orders. It also falls over if you search for something which doesn't exist and it wont run under XP which we need to upgrade to.
I need someone to take a look at the code, check it over, fix the current problem and possibly make it more robust by doing away with the 3rd party DLLs where possible. I need it to run on Windows 95 (althought thats not critical if it were a problem) 98 (very important) and XP (also very important)
We would be greatful for anyones help.
Windows 95, 98 and XP
