I'm new to VB.NET, and am struggling to do some of the things that were easy in VB5.
I need to change the width of a particular column in a DBgrid by using code at run-time, ( or hard-coding it at design-time. )
( The grid is working OK, I used the wizards and things to connect it to my database, and it shows the data etc. )
In VB5 I would have said something like "[url removed, login to view](6).Width = 99" to set the width of column 6.
In VB.NET I'm lost in a morass of DataGridTableStyles, MappingNames, and CurrencyManagers(!). The help system just overloads me with hundreds of articles which might as well be written in Latin.
I just want enough guidance to set me on my way !.
A bit of code snippet for me to follow would be appreciated.
