I have a domain that I want to use for a single-language (Dutch) affiliate-shoe-website. The base is a database with all the shoes including properties in it. The number of items/properties will change continously.
I prefer a Wordpress-solution (maybe the YITH WooCommerce Compare plugin, Home II, Flexslider Elegant?) in combination with php-scripts for the following:
Main page with a header, a slider and the main categories above the slider. Below the slider there are 3 'most popular' (manually selected) items. In the slider each picture links to a specific category page.
When clicking on a category, next page opens. Header is the same as the main page, but below opens a two-column page:
On the left site a search/selection filter with mainly checkbox lists with multiple choices. On the right site the items which belongs to the made selection are shown on several pages. The output on the right site is a grid view (An item is a product photo, title en price with a line around it.) or list view or collage view (only product photos).
The search/selection filter has the following items: model, brand, size, color, pricerange.
When clicking on an item (product photo/title/price) the right part of the site will be updated: it becomes a detailed article info-page. Clicking on the 'to the shop'-button leaves the site in an new window. Each detailed article info-page has social media buttons with a link to the mentioned article: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.
Small footer with copyright, email-link and home button.
Text on buttons must be editable (for example for translation).
Website must be Ipad-proof, and also be checked for the most used versions of Mozilla, Safari, Explorer en Google Chrome.
SEO is more important than the design.
