Small Modification to Pre-Existing PHP Script

This is a very straight-forward modification of a pre-existing PHP script that could be done quickly and without much hassle by someone who knows this ins and outs of PHP and templating.

Background on Pre-existing script:

CafeScripts is a php script that imports information from [url removed, login to view] and builds PHP pages on your site based on that information.

This allows you to monitor page views and section visits more closely than you would be able to do on [url removed, login to view], and it allows you to substitute images for the images CafePress builds from the graphics you upload.

After you've imported items using the script, you can simply add more information to the 'Item Details' fields - which will display that information next to the items on your site.

You can demo the script here: [url removed, login to view]

And read about it here: [url removed, login to view]

Modifications:

All of the modifications are to the 'Item Details' which are input by clicking the '[edit]' next to the item on the 'Items' tab.

Part 1. Links to Related Content

This script is going to be used on a site with a blog. I want to be able to link to my blog posts and other pages on the site with items that I put on CafeScripts.

This can be simply achieved with 2 text input areas, one for a URL and one for the post title as well as a + (plus symbol) that will allow a second, third, fourth, etc related link to be added easily. These links will be manually input on an item by item basis using the [edit] text button on the item details page (see script demo above), unless there is an easy way to have both individual edit functionality, and the ability to batch connect them to links.

This would enable text to be displayed under or next to the item: (example:)

Part 2. Secondary Image

Another text input field on the item details page to add a secondary image. Sometimes people who buy things don't realize that there is text printed on the back of their shirt. This secondary image field, when left blank would be ignored by the template, but if filled in, would display the image specified at that url with the width and size parameters specified in the tag. Perhaps it is appropriate that this is just an html field so that the image could be linked or sized using the standard html sizing tags & parameters, we can discuss.

Part 3. I want to be able to include promotional images and banners that I will build in PHP files in directories on the site. I want to be able to use a php include to call up these php files that I want to be displayed. I want to be able to input some html or php on an item by item basis.

This can be achieved simply by creating an Item Header and Item Footer text field which I can write HTML or PHP into on an item by item basis to include other php files, images, etc.

So, in summary, 4 modules - all optional, and if left blank will display nothing:

.... all three will need to be able to by called up in the template file for the Item Detail, so new variables for each like ##ItemHEADER## etc would have to be created for them. These are all essentially, variations on the same modification.

Please PM with questions / ideas.

... pretty simple and hopefully straightforward.
