I require a good MS Access developer to help me finish a prototype for a Security Application. This work was started by another developer but is incomplete and the developer is no longer available to me.
I will be providing the incomplete MS Access Application along with documentation that is available.
The purpose of the application is to capture information about Security Threats to an organisation and provide a Treat Assessment report based on the information that has been entered.
## Deliverables
The following are some questions asked by the previous developer which may help get a grasp of what is required:
Will Country be part of the Company Master Table or for the Threat Data? (ie, Each Threat Data will be associated with a Country)
?
**Answer: I would like the Master List to show Company that may have one or more projects each of which will have a Threat Assessment outlining threat for a the relevant country and/or city in which the project resides**
?
Add a new drop down field called “Threat Category??, Each new Threat? data created will have any one? of the? 9 Threat Categories.?
Threats to Security from states
Threats to Security from non-state actors
Economic Threats to Security
Social identity as a threat to security
Environmental threats to security
Health Threats to Security
Natural Threats to Security
Accidental Threats to Security
Criminal Threats to Security
Can two records with the same Threat Category be present for a company
?
**Answer: Yes A Company may have a project in a country that may face threats from one or all categories listed above. I would like to be able to write a narrative for each category then select a number of threats that may fall under each a category that might affect this specific project.**
?
**For Example:**
**? **
**Company: Shell**
**? **
**Project: Shell Project Office Port Harcourt**
**? **
**Country:** **Nigeria, Port Harcourt**
?
**Threats:**
**? **
**Criminal:**
**? **
***Narrative explaining Threat and recent incidents in Port Harcourt***
**? **
**Threat Summary:**
**? **
**Armed Robbery**
**? **
**Risk Scenario ??" The Shell office is held up a gun point by armed robbers looking for cash ? **
**(Intent, Capability, Level, Timeframe)**
**? **
**Kidnap**
**? **
**Risk Scenario - A shell employee is kidnapped by MEND insurgents whilst drinking in a bar outside a protected compound**
**? **
**(Intent, Capability, Level, Timeframe)**
**? **
**Health Threats**
**? **
**Communicable Disease**
**? **
**Risk Scenario ??" A shell contractor contracts HIV virus through sexual relations with local women**
**? **
**(Potential, Capacity, Level, Timeframe)**
?
***This goes on until we have looked at all potential threats in all categories. If some categories have no risk we don’t fill nothing in.***
- Can't we just add the drop down Instead of? launching a page for each selection of threat category,? ? the user will use the navigate button to move to a new record, select the Threat Category and start filling the narrative and other details as before
?
**Answer: Yes we can, in fact that is probably better**
- The relationship between Company, Threat Category and Threat Scenario not very clear.
?
**Answer: As above. Each company will have various projects in various cities/countries. We need to keep a record of what projects a company has in what cities/countries and attach a Threat Assessment to each. This forms the basis of the Risk Assessment for each project. We hope to have many projects for each company.**
?
**Having established the Threat for each project in a particular city/country we then need to go through each stage of the risk assessment for each project i.e. Critical Asset Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment through consideration of Target Attractiveness, Control Level Effectiveness, Post Incident Vulnerability, Analysis of risk, evaluation of risk and finally treatment of risk.**
