Update 6/19/2002 We have done a little work with a local person and found some solutions to our problems. This project then is now over. Thanks to everyone who was interested in this project and gave bids. I apologize for my lack of contact to all bidders but this was our first time and I didn't expect such a great and quick response. We will certainly have future projects which I hope all of you will be able to participate in. ============== My company owns a product called MapRender3D, which is a program which renders 2D and 3D maps from DEM height data and outputs them in image form and other forms. This product was originally developed for Windows 95 and functions fine on both Windows 98 and Windows 95. However the product does not work correctly on Windows NT or Windows 2000, and has not been tested on Windows ME or XP. Obviously in today's world, we need to have this software working on more than 95 and 98. Ideally, the software needs to function on all of the above platforms. Macintosh is a thought which may come later. Unfortunately this software was originally created by a group overseas and the source code is missing. They are looking for it, but let us assume that they will not be able to find it. I believe the software is written in C++. We do have the executable and all of the files it installs, as well as the installer file. It does install some DLL's including an OpenGL DLL which may be one of the problems. Some experience in 3d mapping would be a huge plus but of course not required. An overview of our product, including a working demo of it, is available at: [url removed, login to view]
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. Complete program functionality in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Partial functionality will be considered for partial payment. The first priority as far as functionality is having the program export to TIFF image.
Runs fine on Windows 95/98. New version needs to run on Windows 2000 (1st priority), Windows XP (2nd priority), and Windows NT & Windows ME (3rd priority)
## Deadline information
Deadline is flexible depending on the success of the project. Obviously the quicker the software is ready, the better it is. A quick turn around will also be considered for a bonus.
