Last year, my company released a Java build of our open-source EchoVNC desktop application:

With this project, I would like to begin the process of "porting" the Java app so that it's suitable for the Android 2.x platforms.
This project is not to complete the software port. The specific goals of this project are as follows:
1. Review of the current Java source to test its compatibility to the JRE of the Andriod platform. The deliverable of this review goal is a document that reports on the major sections of our code to specifically identify which portions can be kept as is and which portions must be rewritten. For any portions which must be rewritten, an estimate the complexity of that effort must be provided.
2. Propose a user-interface for the new application. The deliverable of this proposal goal is a document containing a textual description of how the app will "look and feel", including some mockups of the key screens.
Ideally, the developer chosen for this software specification effort would become the developer for the follow-on implementation effort. So I am definitely looking for someone who can work collaboratively and can tolerate some initial ambiguity.
