I'm trying to identify the cause of a software error message.
The program opens and then right away gives the following error:
Access violation at address 0044B166 in module
'[url removed, login to view]'. Read of address 00000024
[[url removed, login to view] represents the name of the program file]
Closing the error message box closes the program. In other words, the program fails to open.
This message appears on a notebook pc running Windows XP professional.
Note: the source code is not available for this trouble-shooting. I have not been able to reproduce this error, because it is running on another pc. I can, however, contact the person who is getting the error message.
Any help or insight into this problem is appreciated (particular for a non-programmer like myself). Program is written mostly in Delphi.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
