I require a competent system administrator to install AlienBrain (a software version control package) onto Windows Server 2003. The Windows Server 2003 will be running under VMWare Server. Once AlienBrain is installed and configured I will require you to ZIP up the virtual server disk image and upload it to me.
Download & Install VMWare Server on your workstation Create a 32-bit CPU, dual core, 1GB RAM, 8GB HD space virtual machine
Install Windows Advanced Server 2003 RC2 on to a virtual machine
Name the virtual machine "s-alienbrain"
If using a static IP address, give the virtual machine an IP in the range [url removed, login to view] to [url removed, login to view]
Install AlienBrain & all prerequisites on to the virtual machine
The above may require you to install the machine as a domain controller before installing AlienBrain
Configure it with 8 users (names to be supplied)
Install the client on to a separate workstation or second virtual machine and verify you can connect "over the network" to the AlienBrain server.
Once you have gotten AlienBrain working properly and can connect from an AlienBrain client, ZIP up the VMWare Virtual machine directory containing the Windows Server -- this will include hard drive images and configuration files for VMWare Server -- and upload them to my FTP site.
You may need to configure the Windows Server as a domain controller to allow AlienBrain to work, if so, configure the domain controller name as "factory."
This job will require access to VMWare Server, Windows Server 2003 & AlienBrain, all of which I will supply. This job will require a knowledge of configuring Microsoft Windows Server 2003 & possibly a domain controller. Previous installation and configuration of AlienBrain server in the past would be a help.
