We want a 'skinable' bespoke instant messaging (IM) client and server for Win32, Linux and Apple OSX platforms. Functionality may be identical to existing IM clients, but with the following additional features: a) An optional calendar per user. Each user may choose to share (publish and or edit according to owner selectable priveleges) their calendar through the IM client or on the web. Functionality may be similar to Apple iCal. b) An optional basic PIM linked to the IM client and Calendar, optionally able to download VCards and other PIM data from MS Outlook and other similar programs. Functionality may be similar to MS Outlook PIM functions. We wish the working specification for the above to be created by the coder and approved by us as a part of the job. We envisage on-going work in further development of this system.
1) A detailed description and working specification of each of the programs to form the system. The specification must be detailed enough to enable relatively inexperienced programmer/s to undertake the work of coding the design without constant supervision or recourse to the designer/analyst responsible for creating these specifications. 2) A detailed timetable for completion of the development work. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
Platforms: 1) All Win32 platforms, i.e. Windows 95/98, ME, 2000, XP etc. 2) Linux 3) Apple OSX
