We run a music webapp that enables users to share playlists (metadata only, we're not hosting audio files). We need a Windows executable that periodically parses a user's iTunes library XML file and sends track and playlist data to REST API. API details will be provided upon project commencement, but it is simple right now and can be easily adjusted if necessary or even advisable.
The interface and user experience will be nearly identical to Google's Outlook/Gcal sync utility: [[url removed, login to view]] This includes the installation procedure, a window for users credentials, an option to identify XML file location if not available in default location, activated by doubleclicking on a system tray icon, and un-install script as well. The program should be lightweight and not impede the performance iTunes (or the system, really). Additionally, the app must use the native interface (a java/air GUI won't cut it).
We'll provide the copy and system tray icon image file.
The application will be distributed freely to the public when complete, so maintenance support must be considered. Please provide link(s) showing proficiency in Windows app development. We ask that there be noticeable credit of your name or company name you represent be displayed.
Platform: Windows XP and Vista
