My website has detailed information on the contents of roughly 500 other websites in a MySQL database. I would like to offer my users the ability to get more information when they mouse-over a link in their Internet Explorer browser.
Specifically, I would like the mouse cursor to change and perhaps flash or animate in some way to let them know it's a "hot link" ie: is in our database. Also I'd be interested in perhaps having an alternate ALT tag appear.
The mouse-over would have to match a URL search string, such as "[url removed, login to view]" for example.
After making a match and changing the cursor, I would like to have 1-2 extra options appear in their right-click menu ONLY for that link. One of those would be to visit our site's information for that given link.
This program's functionality would only ever be visible to the computer user if they indeed ran their mouse over a matched link. This needs to be 100% invisible to the user until they moused-over one of the links. The user will know 100% what they are installing, what functionality is added, and how to use it BEFORE installation.
I would also like to have a way for users to update their text file database with any new information we create in the future. Whether their computer tries to connect in the background to update the database, or maybe they'll need to install a patch, not exactly sure how we can do that.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site).
4) A way to keep users database updated as we add new content.
