I'm looking for some code to pop up the system alarm on Windows Mobile (both PocketPC and Smartphone), using C# and the Compact Framework 2.0.
I've gotten stuck here - hope someone else can manage this. I'm looking for some code to pop up the **system alarm** on Windows Mobile, using C#. My "system alarm" I mean the thing inside Options/Time and Date/Alarm. It needs to be the system alarm because it needs to be dismissable when the keypad is locked, which the system alarms seem to magically be able to do.
This needs to work on both **Pocket PC** and **Smartphone** - I mention this explicitly because it's possible they do not necessarily work the same in this area (<[url removed, login to view]>).
What I'd like is a C# function:
void RingAlarm(string SoundFileToPlay, string TextToShowOnScreen)
This will have the exact same effect as going into Start/Settings/Clock & Alarms/Alarms and enabling an alarm for as near to now as you can manage it. The alarm will just ring immediately, it will not repeat at any point.
This must not need a newer version of the Compact Framework than 2.0.
