The project is to add a contest entry form where participants enter their information to get a free gift. All fields in the form are required, and we must provide the validation for email addresses and phone numbers. We will also create a user-tracking module to track user's IP address, referring URL (website), time & date, browser and OS type. We will also provide an automatic email confirmation to send the contestant an email thanking them for entering the contest. We will also do user validation on their address. Since the contest rules are one contestant per household, we must ensure that the same person or people at the same address cannot enter the contest twice. Details of project work * Modify the database by adding creating a database table for the contestants. * Modify the database by adding an administrator table to store usernames and passwords for administrators to enter the administration section. * Create a form with empty validation to ensure none of the fields are left empty. * Create validation for email addresses and telephone numbers to ensure the information is valid. * Check against the database to make sure that the same user or person from the same household has not already entered in the contest. * Email confirmation to the contestant that they have successfully entered the contest. * User-tracking such as IP address, referring URL, time & date, OS & Browser type. * Administration login form. * Database queries to see the contestant details, and user-tracking information. Browser compatibility test the website on both Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers on the Windows platform. Visitors using AOL may encounter some limitations depending on the version they are using. This web applications will be developed using PhP. Databases we will create the database with MySQL.
