I currently have a SAS program which runs on the z/OS platform. The program reads data from a SAS data set and selects specific records to create a report. It then e-mails an HTML version of the report to a distribution list.
The data displayed in the report is MVS job performance (e.g. job name, number, user, submit time, execution start, execution end, CPU seconds used, and elapsed time used).
The current program uses PROC FORMAT and PROC TEMPLATE to color code certain fields displayed on each record. The program color codes specific fields to either green, yellow, or red based on thresholds previously defined.
I would like to enhance this program so that the thresholds can be defined per record (key would be job name). The thresholds are currently defined in the program, but I would like to maintain these thresholds in an external file (for future expansion).
I would also like to make some customizations to the formatting as well.
Some things to know about the program that we currently have, it runs on a z/OS platform? which is set to GMT whereas the user location is in California.
The earlier mentioned "customized formatting" would entail displaying dates in the subject line and header of the e-mailed report based on the day the program is run (will use JCL in a scheduled environment to submit).
I would provide the current SAS source code of what we are using today for enhancement.
