I need a class, written in Visual C++ '05 that can do the following: 1. Attach to other program's windows and capture screen shots of them. 2. Breakdown the screen shots into specific areas and compare those areas to a known symbol database. Basically, I want to read a set of symbols from another program. 3. Read a textbox located on the other programs primary window and output the text. 4. Run in a separate thread and send notifications back to the primary thread/program when something changes in the "attached" window. Eventually, this is going to be a component in a C# program, but I can handle the .net interop code and the wrapper class needed. My primary issue is a lack of familiarity with the WIN32 api and the mechanisms required to do this. The resulting class must compile and work in VS2005 and must compile cleanly with CLR turned on. For further information, please make a reply with the word "Wasa" at the top and I'll be happy to elaborate further.
