I've got a lot of images that I'd like to resize and crop.
The originals are varied in size and aspect (typically either "portrait" or "landscape" format but some may also be square).
The images are mainly .jpg format but can occasionally be .png
I'd like a simple ImageMagick command/set of commands to ultimately create a new image that is my specified dimension.?
I'm running this several times to create various batches of images, so the specified dimension will vary over time. Initially it will be either 150 wide by 100 high or 110 square (these are the first two batches I'm running).
I'm guessing this will be a two stage process:
1. Resize the original image, keeping the original aspect ratios
2. Crop the resultant image so that it is the desired size.
I will be running this with ImageMagick on a Windows 7 machine and will ? need your advice as to which Windows version to install.
