The goal for this project is to get audio in and out of skype and into and out of my own application.
My application is a type of voice-based help robot and the goal is to allow skype users to connect and speak with this agent.
The result of this project should be COM Object DLL or normal DLL that exposes 4 functions. They are Startup and Shutdown as well as the event onDataReceived and the function SendData.
Both data functions should accept or return a short array of PCM data and the amount of frames received (assuming 1 short is a single 16 bit frame).
There are several methods available, I would like to see your method and timeframe in your bid. A bonus will be paid for faster delivery. The faster the working solution, the more the bonus.
Option 1 - Locate the skype process and inject a simple API hook on the Read and Write functions (I think Skype is using waveIn and waveOut functions).
Option 2 - A fairly simple modified driver based on the example from the Windows WDK/DDK so that a virtual sound card is created and simply using IOCTL to receive and send data through a fake sound card.
Option 3 - Hook the DirectX audio pins and mux your own signals.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
