I previously contracted a project entitled "Arbitrage Software Project", which can be found at [url removed, login to view] The coder that worked on it created a very nice interface that categorized and spliced all the data very well. Unfortunately, he was unable to create code that crawled the various sportsbooks and retrieved odds from each to use in the software. Without this critical component, the software is worthless.
There are several sites online that compile and present comparative odds data, including sites like BetBrain at [url removed, login to view] so I would imagine that it can be done without too much trouble. What I need is for the software to be completed, which will mostly involve writing code to find comparative odds at several specified sportsbooks. I will also need a few small things tweaked, and have the final software compiled so that the end user can easily install it on his computer.
The original coder used .NET 2.0 and has fully documented the code so that a new coder could easily step in and finish the project.
**The main thing I need is the odds data from several sportsbooks. In other words, a single source (a feed like XML or RSS, or anything else that can be parsed and categorized by a script without too much trouble) that shows comparative odds data for sports betting across several online sportsbooks.
If you can provide this, but cannot complete the software, please bid on this project, and we can discuss (and change the terms of the bid request to accomodate you). **
Once I have narrowed down the bids, I can send you a copy of the current software to look over, and see if you feel comfortable updating it. If you have any questions about the project, please let me know.
I look forward to working with you.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
This software needs to run in all versions of Windows 98 and later. It is on a .NET 2.0 framework, and needs to include the necessary .NET 2.0 software in the installation package so that the end user will be able to run it properly.
