We are employing a small company to configure some equipment for us. We need a small script that will start a telnet session, send username and password to the equipment, then perform some commands to interrogate the state of the equipment (eg. determine what software leve it's at, the value of some other parameters etc.), and based on the outcome, send some commands to configure the equipment. The configuration might be a few commands, or a script file. Finally, the script needs to be able to check that the configuration has been updated correctly, and then show a message to either confirm success, or flag a failure. The people who will be using this script do not have much computer experience, nor do they know anything about the equipment, so it has to be very simple to use. Anyone interested, please contact me and I can give you any extra information you might need. ///Jeremy
