There is a great free resource online known as [[url removed, login to view]]. Lately it seems to be bogged down and/or nonfunctioning and I started to realize that it is probably a pretty basic system. A similar tool is found at _<[url removed, login to view]>_.
Basically, a user enters a patent number, or published application number, and the site goes to the [[url removed, login to view]] website retrieves the TIFF images and creates one complete pdf of the patent. The pdf's remain in the memory of the site for 1 day.
I have found some posts on either the script that is used or a similar script. See <[url removed, login to view]> . The key would seem to be to have the capacity to handle thousands pdf's a day. Therefore, selection of the proper reliable hosting environment will be essential.
In addition to the programming I will need your assistance in selecting the proper hosting environment and getting everything set-up, running, and tested out.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. SELLER MUST AGREE NOT TO USE THE CODE FOR ANYONE OTHER THAN BUYER.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Please make your suggestions and recommendations for proper cost effective hosting in your proposal.
