We are looking to develop an application that runs on a wireless device. I do not care which wireless platform this is developed on (Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Palm)
This is very important to us and we need to get this done as soon as possible.
That being said… We don’t really care what the application is. It needs to have some level of usability in the business sector and appear to be a valuable solution for Cingular to certify. Below are two potential ideas for this project. However, if you or your guys have ideas that would be better, or easier to develop, we are 100% open to them. We just need to get something out the door fast.
Idea 1: Electronic Wallet / Password Keeper
There are a lot of these types of applications out there already. This is basically an application designed to encrypt and store sensitive data (i.e. passwords, credit cards, other sensitive data) Blackberry has a password keeper built into the OS. Yet, our hopes would be to develop something with a better interface and the ability to keep a variety of data organized.
Idea 2: Weather Reporting Software
With the abundance of free weather data feeds available, this should be relatively easy to develop. This could be an application that displays user configured weather data on the desktop of the device. For example; the user can display weather in their home town and/or check weather at their travel destination.
In all honesty, we’re open to just about any idea. The bottom line is that we need to get SOMETHING done.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
