I'm using WooCommerce along with the WooCommerce Catalog Visibility Options for a website (the products can be seen, but no prices, user need to register to be able to shop. I need to be able to pre-approve the user before they can be allowed to proceed on the site and able to shop.) and I also need some custom fields added to the registration form when someone creates an account.
I also need the top level navigation to be edited to be able to allow an easy location for user to register for a new account (login or my-account doesn't do it)
I was messing around with the plugin "WP Approve User" ([url removed, login to view]) but couldn't get it to work. What I need is the following:
New users must be able to be moderated by an admin (approve their account or deny it)
1.) User registers
2.) WooCommerce automatically logs them in [PROBLEM]
3.) If the user logs out, they can’t get in again since they have yet to be approved
I found a solution but there are some minor errors in the code which is preventing it from working (see the article here: [url removed, login to view]).
If you have a different solution you can do that as well. However; the plugin that I mentioned above; "WP Approve User", already sends out a notification to the admin when someone tries to register.
When a user registers for an account, I need additional information (fields added) which will be sent via the email notification to the owner/admin of the website to decide if they want to approve or deny the user. The additional fields I need when a user is registering for a new account can be seen in this screen shot here: [url removed, login to view] However, Wordpress/WooCommerce only requires the following fields when a user tries to register, see here: [url removed, login to view]
1.) When a user first registers for an account, WooCommerce automatically logs them in (this is a problem because the account hasn't been approved by the admin).
2.) Additional custom fields need to be added to the Wordpress registration when someone signs up for an account
3.) Email notifications to admin/website owner need to include the additional fields that were added in #2
