I am looking to set up an online Alumni Network for my organization. This network would allow former staff and interns to create a profile in our electronic alumni directory (with contact information, etc), which could be searched by other alumni. The directory would allow alumni to enter information themselves, and to choose which information should remain private (i.e. available only to network administrators and authorized staff). Other features of this network would include: posting and updating an events calender, posting newsletters, and hosting various discussion threads. I am also looking to allows employers to post job/internship opportunities on the site.
We are looking for something that may be easily used and updated, and may be easily expanded, as well. What we envisage is something similar to University Alumni Networks.
