Hi,

First, apologies to the ScriptLance community. This is the third time I've posted this project, and I'm new to this - if you've seen this before and bid on it I'm greatly sorry... I'm a bit confused over how this is supposed to work, but I'd like to get this done and pay someone for it!

I originally posted this project and started working with someone, who got it perhaps 90% done but then I could no longer reach him. I hope he's all right. I would like to complete this with him and pay him for his work.

THEN I reposted it and realized a day later that I was about to leave on a trip where I would not have an internet connection for many days at a time. NOT a good time to be working on this kind of project, so I cancelled that.

NOW I'm going to try again, and I hope this is the last time and we can bring this through to completion. It's a small thing...

I need to post several XML data files to a website periodically throughout the day (say, every 15 minutes). The XML data file is created in our own system from SQL server data. We don't need any help with that, this has been done and tested and is supposedly working fine according to the vendor who wants us to send them this data, so I assume that's correct.

A sample of one of these XML data files is attached to this.

The part that I can't figure out in this is how to post this file to their site. A set of instructions from them that gives SOME guidance in this is attached. Page 4 seems to be the relevant information about this POST process. It probably makes a lot more sense to someone who understands this.

The XML data file that we're using as a test is the "Create Zone Submit Request", which is outlined on pages 54 and 55. The reply to this is the Create Zone Submit Reply on page 55.

We need something that will submit these data files as well as a deal with the reply.

Ideally, the end result should be a way that we can trigger (via a task scheduler of some sort) an upload of a number of different data files at whatever interval we want. Then the replies should be saved to a specific path (and perhaps renamed using date/time stamp to retain uniqueness?)

If you read about Curl, it appears to be able to do this but I tried and could not get it to work. Many errors, I probably messed up the syntax.

The first programmer I was working with did it as a PHP script, but I have not been able to get that to work either.

Ideally the end result would be something we could run in a batch file on a Windows box, so the batch would look something like..

c:/..../[url removed, login to view] d:/xmldata/[url removed, login to view]

c:/..../[url removed, login to view] d:/xmldata/[url removed, login to view]

...

etc, etc until all files have been uploaded.

We may also have future work involving this sort of thing, this is just the beginning of this kind of data interchange for us.

Thanks!
