I'm updating my website and would like to add a simple shopping cart feature to the areas where I have products available for sale.
I've designed everything as I want it already in HTML and thought I could simply add a field for the quantity and an "add to cart" button, but every shopping cart software I'm finding online and from my hosting provider has its own templates in CSS or PHP and I can't figure out how to send the info a user would enter in my site through these already made templates.
We should either build our own user database and cart or make use of what my hosting server has to offer which is Zen Cart, Os Commerce or Cube Cart is what my server provides but we can do whatever as long as it works.
The new website is not currently finished, but here's what is done so far. The "Publications" page will require the shopping cart as well as the "Piano Tracks" page. Only those two for now, I may add more later myself, but the work I need done by a Rent-A-Coder is only for those two pages.
I intend to have "Login | My Account | View Cart" and any other shopping cart related links justified to the right of the page title "Publications" or "Piano Tracks" which appears under the "St. Hilaire Music Professional products and services" banner.
There should also be a way for me to log in as an administrator to see all registered user accounts and info and be able to edit it if a mistake was entered.
Pay no attention to the graphic I inserted temporarily as the shopping cart. All I need is a box for quantity and an image button to "add to cart".
