I have a MySql database that has 100,000 records in it. Each record has 20 fields, fields 1 through 10 have data, fields 11 through 20 may or may not have data.
I also have a php page that calls selected data fields from each record.
I need a simple if else php script that will look into a MYSQL database and "if" there is data in record #11, for example, it will show that record, if not it will not show anything.
I'm pulling the data records using this <?=$row['Record11']?> to check and see if there is data there however I'm not sure about the correct syntax etc. the variable is a "longtext" variable, it's actually a list of items.
$list1 = <?=$row['Record11']? >
Show record 11 in a table
I know this is not right but it will give you an idea of how I'm working with the data. The page already is connected to the database and can pull records I just need it to check for a value or not in selected fields.
I'm sure this is very easy for the right coder. Should not take very long.
