program needed using Amazon Web Services to look up ASIN

I'm building a directory (I already have the directory part of the site, that isn't what this project is about) of books/movies about a certain theme, and want to use Amazon Web Services to fetch the data for each item using the ISBN/ASIN to be displayed in a form. (I would then correct/add to the information and then submit it to my database.) The fields I want to retrieve are: title author small image url medium image url description tracking image url I'd also like line breaks stripped out of the author field, and HTML stripped out of the description. I already have the directory and database set up, they aren't part of this project. For a time I was using Amazon Products Feed by MrRat, but my web host wanted me to take that script down as the dynamic display of products was too much for the server. So I just need a very stripped-down PHP4 program that only parses the XML for the items I choose.
