Implementation of a purchase order modification for a heavily modified CRE-Loaded OSCommerce website store that is entirely drop-ship. Every order placed with us is 're-ordered' from the manufacturer, who deliveres the goods.
This is one of many mods required on an ongoing basis. Only apply if you are very familiar with CRE Loaded version of OS Commerce.
YOU MUST PROVIDE SAMPLE CRE-LOADED WEBSITES YOU HAVE WORKED ON IN YOUR REPLY TO THIS JOB POST AND OUTLINE AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT WE REQUIRE - COPY AND PASTE SUBMISSIONS STATING HOW GOOD YOU ARE ETC ETC WILL BE IGNORED.
COST PRICE FIELD
The modification work requires creating an extra product field to contain and display the cost price of a product in the products table that will display on the [url removed, login to view] page. This field will need to be editable in edit_orders page so that we can override or add a cost price if it does not currently have one - whatever cost price figure that gets entered will need to be saved as a new cost price so can be later retrieved for future orders.
To also be added is a 'mark-up' field in the edit_orders page, so if we choose to, by entering a figure in this box, it will create a new sell price which is a mark-up of the cost price by a number entered in the mark-up field as a percentage - eg: we put 10 in the mark-up field and the sell price for a product will become whatever figure is in the cost price field for this product x 1.1
PURCHASE ORDER TOTAL - XML SCRIPT MODIFICATION
We have an existing XML script within the edit_orders page that sends via SMTP from the [url removed, login to view] file sales data to our back end accounting program. It will be required to modify this XML script to also include a total cost price figure (a sum of the qty x cost price of each item - this is what the purchase order total is) along with the manufacturer name drawn from product table.
A sandbox website is in place for the modification work to be installed and tested. Once it is completed to satisfactory level we will require the modified files and SQL query forwarded to us and we will embed them in to our live site.
