MUST HAVE DRUPAL EXPERIENCE
We previously had our site set up to have a login area in the 'sub-menu' section of our template. Due to being over-looked, we are moving the login area to the right side-bar region. We would like our mission statement to show up in submenu area until the user logs in. Once logged in, we would like an admin-editable menu for user-specific functions such as uploading an image, editing your profile, viewing your profile, viewing your comments, ect.
Our site is heavily themed from different parties, so Drupal 5 theming knowledge is a must.
Please view [url removed, login to view] for reference to the sub-menu.
Ideally, the menu would be listed in the Menus section of the Drupal Admin, rather than hard-coded into the template.
But I would like user-specific functions like "Edit my profile" or "Post A Blog Entry"

I just want to stress that Drupal experience is required and must follow best practices as far as possible. Any code altered must be commented for future reference.
