Advanced PHP & MYSQL Programmer Contract Role Description Sell My Car is an exciting project that involves customers obtaining valuations, appointments and getting their cars purchased at a car buying centre. Sell My Car Pty Ltd is based in Australia and has 19 buying centre locations across Australia. The business is just one year old. s We’re seeking a candidate with the following skills and abilities: Programming (Required) • PHP 5 (Advanced) • MYSQL 5 (Advanced) • CSS • HTML Technical (Highly Desirable) • GIT • Assembla o Use of Stand-up and agile coding methodologies o Use of ticketing, messaging and milestones • Bootstrap • JavaScript • Phinx • Unit Testing • MVC • Security – SSL, secure coding methodologies Useful, but not required • SSH • Framework experience • Browserstack • Ability to work with a provided graphic designer independently and submit requests Misc • Attitude – A solution finder, rather than problem attitude. An ability to work within a challenging coding environment and be able to upgrade our code base, whilst also performing the required tasks. Ability to follow instruction, and think for himself the implications advising the impact if necessary. • Communication Skills – Great communicator • English – A very high command of English writing and reading Requirements • Confidentiality Agreement – You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement when working with Sell My Car Pty Ltd • Availability – This is an ongoing contract position (20-40 hours per week; there is flexibility for the right candidate); you must be able to report your hours into this online freelance platform using the timecard application, no manual hours are permissible. • Testing – Must be able to self check (across all browsers) work before submitting as complete; moreover, be able to produce robust and reliable code. You will report into our Senior Programmer and our US Programming Contractor
