We have a site that uses the “WP Job Manager” plugin, and it works great for our needs on the Job Postings. We want to develop the same functionality, but for Candidates (resumes) only. We would normally alter the existing plugin, but we can’t in this case, because we are using it already on the site.
We have a Page titled “TSP” where this search will be listed on the front-end. We also have a page titled “Candidates”. This is important to know because slugs on Custom Post types don’t like it if there is a page on the site that is similar.
We also need to be sure that NO database tables interfere with the use of the WP Job Manager on the site now. We will show you the site for reference once hired.
So, here is what we need from you for the new Custom Post type interface:
1) On the Back End, we want to be able to enter what we call “TSP Candidates”. These are anonymous entries made by US. The layout for the system should look like “Attachment 1” in the WordPress Dashboard sidebar, and like “Attachment-2”
2) On the Front End, we need an Ajax filter that we can place on a page with a shortcode that works like the WP Job Manager plugin, and resembles it very closely. “Attachment-3” is what that WP Job Manager looks like on the front end as the site is published.
3) For our new Plugin, we need it to be laid out like “Attachment-4” on the Front End.
When the visitor clicks on a specific entry in the table, it will contain the specific “TSP Candidate” custom post – modeled after the WP Job Manager format. This post opens on its own page, and has its own permalink (to each post). We can show you the existing site, once hired, so you can see how the existing flow works for the WP Job Manager – we need to mirror this quite closely! “Attachment-5” shows you what an individual post would look like.
We think this can be achieved by closely inspecting the WP Job Manager plugin, but our WordPress guy is on vacation for two weeks, so we need to farm this out to you! Need the work done in the next few days.
