I am designing/scripting a social networking site for women who hunt. My client wants a Google map script which shows hunting events throughout the US and Canada. These events will be submitted by anyone and the website administrator will have the ability to approve/modify or delete the event before it appears on the site (similar to a WordPress function in managing comments).
I have already installed a Google Map script on the website. You can view the script in action here: [url removed, login to view] It is an OpenSource script that is simple PHP coding and uses one database.
My client would like the script modified so that anyone can post an event. The event will not become live until the administrator approves the event. Here is what I think we need, unless you have a better plan or have already created a script and can deploy your own version (PHP)
1) A form where people can submit events (I can set up the forms)
2) An administration page, where the administrator can view events, modify/delete submissions.
