Will need more information on this before starting: - Which version of CentOS does the machine currently run? - Which version of PHP does the machine currently run? - Which web server does the machine currently run? - Would you want to keep both the older and 5.4 versions available simultaneously? If so, would instructions on how to configure websites to use either version suffice; or would you need to find somebody each time? That could be a potential issue for you.
