I need a PHP developer to help me to build a small script to modify a firmware updating some bytes based on an uploaded file and send it back as a file again.
Actually the script is very simple. I'm a PHP programmer myself, but I'm stuck with this problem.
The firmware is for a synthesiser module that works with several wavetables that are represented with 512 two-byte (16-bit) signed (2’s-complement) samples.
The script should read the .jic firmware file (binary), go to the correct address where the wavetables are and modify them using an user uploaded .wav (the .wav is a wavetables too). And then download the modified firmware with the browser.
The firmware contains all operation code for the synthesizer + wavetables. Wavetables are a digital respresentation of a sound wave. The firmware contains several wavetables and I would be able to modify them uploading a wav file.
If you read the page 45-46 of the synthesizer, you can find the manual procedure for modifying the firmware.
Sounds like an interesting problem. I have the skills to do it. Message me so we can discuss it. Relevant Skills and Experience Quite a lot of low level programming Proposed Milestones €29 EUR - Deliver PHP
