OSCommerce website optimization

I run a highly modified OSC site that normally works fast(2-3 second load time) but from time to time will take 5-10 seconds to load. The site is on a dedicated box so I believe the site could be made to work a good bit faster due to some contribs that I may have installed over the years.

I would like to install a cache contrib and have the menus load the sql listing from cache instead of having to query the db so much. I also would like to install cDynamicMeta to help with natural seach engine listings. I would also like whoever takes the project to review all code on catalog side and recomend/fix ways to speed site up.

I am very familiar with OSC but simply don't have the time/knowledge to really get the site moving faster. I know what I want and can easily communicate that to you.

****** Ido require that the programer be able to communicate via IM program like Yahoo IM in english******.

In the past, I have found this method to answer your questions much quicker. Please do not bid if you will not be able to communicate this way.

Quick Summary.

1. install Chemo's New Cache Class(will review other cache method if there is good reason)

2. install cDynamic Meta Tags v1.6 to work with #1(option in contribution)

3. recomend and catalog review of sql to speed up site(since this could take an unknown amount of time, please allow up to 3-5 hours of review/work time into quote)Beyond that, please list a per/hour cost.

Thank you,

Fritz Smith
