I run a virtual pet website and I know very basic PHP. I have written most of the scripts for the site based on a very basic core script which I purchased. The site is currently down as it is having to be moved to a dedicated server because of the large number of clicks per second to the database. I need someone with PHP knowledge to help me rewrite 4 scripts to lessen the clicks per second. I don't think that the actual rewriting of the script will be that hard or time consuming, its just a bit over my head. For example, right now each member has many virtual pets which they feed each day. Right now it will take one click per animal. If we could create a "feed all" button that would check the number of animals a user has, compair it to the number of food items, then if they match raise all animals one food point and delete that many food items from their inventory what once took 50 clicks could be done in one. Perhaps someone could look over the site and suggest other ways to lessen the clicks per second ratio as well.
I really don't have a lot of money to spend on this project since my hosting bill just went from $30 a month to $100 a month.

I can definitely work with you on this. It sounds like you have a combination of PHP script and database queries that need to be updated. See my profile to get a better feel for my background.
