After one year, my core / senior developer will be leaving and I have 15 days for someone to take over his work. He has been my super star and I need to replace him.
Following qualities are most important to me so don't bid (and don't waste your time and mine) if those things are not there in your experience/personality
1) Ability to see a big picture, understand end to end complex system/ architecture - I am strong headed and you will need to give me data to make point and correct me.
2) Sr. Developer in PHP/Laravel/ API Creations/ MySQL - Server Side with 7+ years of experience.
3) Expertise in VPS/ Hosting/ Database Set up / Twilio/ etc. APIs
4) Experience with Envoyer/Composer/Queues/Cronjobs
5) Ability to take over/ understand someone's code - Make it your own with clean code review/ comments,
6) Most importantly - ability to converse/ speak fluent English -- Ability to read/ communicate with me.. So your test starts from the fact if you read this or not. Bid must have " X qualities" in answer where X is replaced by number of qualities I mentioned.
After one year of development/ working with me -- we are working on maintenance/ bug fixes tasks for 40 hours/ month so 2021 budget is available.
You would prove yourself with sample server side development / API/ small project -- If you can not spend 8-10 hours on interview/ exercise, it is okay if you don't bid. More than mone-y it is an assurance for me that I am hiring a right person.
