A pre-existing corporate website, hitherto running on OctoberCMS/Laravel, with a total of about a dozen pages and no non-static content or API to be connected (other than a contact form) is to be redesigned (or reconstructed) after the file system of the install has been severely damaged and no working backup is at hand.
The redevelopment may be based on any common (ideally open-source) framework/CMS, notably including WordPress, as long as the usual maintenance of the final site can be taken care of directly by the customer, via an easy-to-manage backend. The restore of the damaged install would only be preferred insofar as this were the most cost-efficient option.
The mariaDB database of the old install, including the tables containing the site structure and its content, is intact. What parts of the file system were not destroyed have also been saved. Both items can be provided to the contractor.
What will also be provided is the sitemap (non-technical schema in xls file), an unstructured .docx file with the content of each page, and a folder containing the entire original artwork (photos/graphics) as had been provided by the site owner to the developer of the original site upon the setup of the latter.
Please note: While work may be billed by-the-hour, fixed-price/milestone arrangements would be preferred after an initial assessment of the task.
