What Will You Do? We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript). Experience with high-performance themes development (technical SEO) is strongly preferred. Key Skills Required - Rock solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery - Strong understanding of PHP back-end development - Rest API development for mobile developers. - Strong UX fundamentals - Git & Docker environments - Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications - Experience designing and developing responsive design websites - Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages Additional Skills Preferred - Focus on SEO and high-performance front-end development. - Basic DevOps knowledge - Experience working for publishers and/or news media outlet - Trello based project management. - Experience writing automated tests and using CI/CD tools - Proactive.
