Hello, i need an experienced PHP coder that can do the following modifications to SimplePie:
* Replace words in the RSS items displayed. For example. I setup an [url removed, login to view] with the following structure:
This is, however, relatively simple to accomplish using PHP's built-in fgets(), explode(), and preg_replace() functions. You can write a small function to read [url removed, login to view] line by line, store the values and replacements in an array, and pass that array to preg_replace() which will do the word swapping on SimplePie's output.
* Sort the items displayed random/alphabetically
The former is as simple as applying PHP's shuffle() function to the array of feed items. For the latter, we already use a custom sorting function to sort items in reverse chronological order. Because SimplePie is comprised of a series of classes and methods, it would be pretty easy to extend and override our sorting method to sort alphabetically by title name.
* Newpage for every item.
When someone clicks the item title, instead of entering the URL mentioned in the RSS file, a new page will be opened (for example: [url removed, login to view]) with item title, real link, description, etc. It would likely require a bit more elbow grease to build something with that kind of user flow, but I think it would also be relatively easy for someone comfortable in PHP to pull off. I'd recommend keying from SimplePie's $item->get_id() value instead of the title, however, as it'd likely be more reliable.
These are simple modifications and this is a low-cost project. So, don't bid higher than $100 bucks. I need this fast. 1 or 2 days.
