System Administration of 2 Linux Servers

Job Description:

Tasks for Managing include

- Manage LAMP, SSH server, Postfix Server

- Troubleshoot issues as and when they come up

- Document the Server Configuration over a period of time

Monitoring

- You will have to setup notifications and Proactively work on troubleshooting Issues on the server

DNS Management

- Sometimes you may need to update DNS records.

Backups and Restoration

- Backups and Restoration have to be performed on demand when necessary.

Server Migrations

- When the OS and LAMP versions have become outdated we will move our applications to a new server. Server Migrations are Rare activity. About once in 6 months.

This server does not have any control panel. Your work will be only commandline using ssh.
