JS "Time-line" Website - NEW

I am trying to build a timeline website - take this -

for example. I would like to expand upon its purpose adding a few more features.

the main one being that Multiple Timelines to correspond linearly on the time line. So for example the user can search up to 20 "characters" and then simultaneously have them displayed.
There will also be a few other features that display other information about the "character" such as statistics and ratings system.
Our timeline should work the using a DATABASE that can accept Excel spreadsheets as the input method for the characters AND also a export to Excel options.
This will also be a user base where users will have to sign up I would like this as and option to implement.

This will be an on going project with multiple revisions in the future to come after the first version is a established.
