We have a PHPBB installation on one site (site A) and a Wordpress installation on another (site B). We want to be able to 301 from the PHPBB site to the Wordpress site on a page by page basis. To that end, I need a plugin & script which will recreate the output from the PHPBB database inside of a Wordpress page with a URL structure created in such a way that we only need one 301 rule from Site A to Site B. In addition to a mappable URL structure, I need to preserve usernames, dates, bb code formatting and pagination. The plugin should honour PHPBB settings like hidden threads and should only display the There does *not* need to be any replication of any phpbb functionality (editing, posts, admin etc). There does *not* need to be any transfer of media - attachments or avatars. The plugin should also engineer some kind of caching on generated pages (once generated, these pages will not change). The forum on Site A will be closed with no further edits so a one time process is acceptable. Thus, a clever implementation might be to export static files from the PHPBB database using available code (like [login to view URL]) and simply write a good parser to pull the output on the fly into a Wordpress page. When completed we will be able to 301 redirect with one rule (or a few rules) from Site A to Site B.
